Maureen Nelson has been found safe.
Riverina Police District have thanked Wagga residents for their help in searching for the 54-year-old woman, following her disappearance on Sunday afternoon.
Ms Nelson’s daughter notified police, after her mother, who is living with dementia, went missing from their Mount Austin home at about 3pm.
Following an overnight search, the 54-year-old was on Monday returned home to her family on Monday.

Police have grave concerns for the welfare of a Wagga woman, who went missing from her home on Sunday afternoon.
Maureen Nelson was last seen in Phillip Avenue, Mount Austin.
She is living with stage-four dementia.
Ms Nelson’s daughter reported her mother missing from their home at about 3pm. The 54-year-old left the property with no wallet, ID, money nor property.
A city-wide search continued overnight, with no success.
Police inspector Adrian Telfer on Monday said officers were yet to find the Wagga woman and appealed to residents to help.
The photo of Ms Nelson recent, however she now has dark purple hair.
She has been described as Caucasian, with a slim build and was last seen wearing dark coloured jeans and a shirt.
According to a missing persons post on Facebook, the 54-year-old needs supervision when she leaves home.
“We believe she would be quite disoriented, due to her condition,” Inspector Telfer said.
“She may not know where she is or how to get home.”
