Paramedics were called to the scene at about 11.50am to attend a man aged between 55-62, with a leg injury, who fell over. His support workers could not get him back up.
A NSW Ambulance spokesperson said it was not a life threatening situation and the man was conscious but feeling drowsy.
Just after 12.30pm two ambulances transported the man to Wagga Base Hospital.
An exercise group was training nearby and witnesses described the scene as paramedics attending a man that was lying down.
The incident occurred on the west-end of the gardens at the intersection of Ivan Jack Drive and Morrow Street.
