It is the reason the pair joined forces to launch the Wellness Walk in Wagga on Sunday.
Ms Craig – a Sunflower House employee – said the search to find assistance for her child in Wagga had seemed “never ending”.
Piggybacking the Sydney event, the walk was designed to bring all mental health services together in one place and to help “bridge the gap”.
Almost 100 residents began a one or 2.6 kilometre trek from Victory Memorial Gardens on Sunday afternoon, strolling together as a symbol of unity.
“The walk is also about helping to break down the stigma around mental health,” Ms Craig said. “We’ve come a long way, but there’s still more to be done.”
With the addition of good weather, Ms Craig said the event had been a great success and thanked everyone who had helped on the day and along the way.
