Janet French was just 57 when she died.
Ms Jackson-French, who is also a contestant in the Miss Wagga Quest, said she knew many other people who had been affected by the disease and had been wanting to hold a fundraiser for some time.
Given that October is breast cancer awareness month, Ms Jackson-French has taken the month’s signature pink colour, thrown in her own upcoming birthday and created a special breakfast.
Bonnie’s “pink birthday breakfast” will be held at the Union Club Hotel on Sunday, October 28, from 9am to 11am. All money raised will go to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
In keeping with a birthday theme, Ms Jackson-French is promising an appropriate cake among the treats.
