Three ambulances were dispatched to the corner of Docker and Edward streets after a witness phoned in at 9:52pm reporting they had seen the car “fly through the air” and land on its roof.
The second man, who was also about 25, was able to free himself from the upturned car after many bystanders rushed to his aid.
He was conscious and breathing but limping and holding his arm, which was possibly broken.
Paramedics reported the man was shaken up and taken to the hospital in a stable condition for further treatment.
Firefighters from Turvey Park Fire and Rescue also attended the scene after receiving reports that the car was on fire, but found there was only fuel leaking when they arrived.
The eastbound lane of Edward Street was blocked off for about half-an-hour while emergency crews worked.
MORE TO COME.
