Hailing from Griffith, this was the therapy animal’s second year at Wagga’s relay, giving joyrides for gold coin donations.
For the last three years, he and his brother Bow have joined the relay in Leeton as well.

“I couldn’t put a figure on how much we’ve raised for all sorts of different charities,” said owner Steff Dickie.
“Raising money for things like this, meeting new friends, the whole atmosphere here. The travel to be here is no concern, I’d do it over and over again.
“Today I feel like the Pied Piper of Wagga with all these kids around me.”
Concluding her 10 year battle with bowel cancer in 2003, Ms Dickie routinely dresses her horses in support of research.
“All of the flowers mean something. The yellow is for the relay, multicoloured for blood cancer, white for prostate, pink for breast,” Ms Dickie said.
“They say if you go five years without it, then you’re cancer free but I think you never get rid of cancer, really.
“Even when you go into remission, there’s always the fear it’ll be back. That’s why days like these are so important.”
