Jarrod William Moore, 29, lodged a release application from a Parklea cell on Wednesday after he pleaded guilty to common assault and entering a building with intent to intimidate.
He and his co-accused entered a Blake Street unit last December and accosted their victim, with his co-accused punching him several times to the face and ribs.
Solicitor Harriet Skinner said Moore was jailed when he breached his bail.
“Mr Moore finds himself in custody due to failing to report on one occasion, so there was no re-offending,” Ms Skinner said.
Moore cannot contact with his co-accused or his victim and will returns to court for sentencing on November 20.
