‘The Chookhana’ has been organised as a major fundraiser for injured North Wagga footballer Josh ‘Chooka’ Hanlon.
Members of North Wagga, Ganmain-Grong Grong-Matong and Tullibigeal have come together to organise a massive AFL grand day event.
North Wagga coach Kirk Hamblin expects a big crowd to turn out for the special day.
“We think 2000 is realistic and anything above that is a bonus,” Hamblin said.
“Everything has fallen into place, which is good. Everything is in place for a great day.”
Along with the AFL grand final on a big screen, there will also be live auctions, raffles, jumping castles, face painting, live entertainment and much more.
Framed signed guernseys of both grand finalists, Collingwood and West Coast, are among the number of items to be auctioned.
A bar will be in operation from midday until 9.30pm with buses running back into town from 8pm to 11pm.
There will also be a barbeque and food stalls.
