The Wagga-based side has drawn to tackle Toolmelah Tigers in the first round of the 48th edition of NSW Aboriginal Rugby League Knockout.
Tyson McLachlan is one of the young guns who got a taste of the Knockout last year and can’t wait for the event in Dubbo this weekend.
“It is everything to us,” McLachlan said.
“We’ve all grown up hanging around each other and I’ve grown up watching half of them play so playing alongside brothers, uncles and cousins is everything.”
Just like last year, Dindima are coming off a win in the Queanbeyan/Canberra Community Rugby League Knockout.
It has given them more confidence plus they’ve got more talent to draw upon this year.
Peter Little, Blake Dunn and Brock Dunn all bring plenty of experience into the team while the likes of Maleke Morris, Jordan Little and Rhys Weldon are some of the fresh faces about the experience the knockout for the first time.
There will be a host of NRL players taking part including Greg Inglis who is playing at the Knockout for the first time since he was 16.
It adds to the weekend.
“Playing against someone like GI would be pretty amazing being an idol for me,” McLachlan said.
