Emergency services were called to the Enixus building just after 10am after receiving reports of the incident.
A Wagga Rescue Squad spokesperson said an electronic issue caused the elevator to break down.
“There were two people and no injuries,” the spokesperson said.
“It took about 10 minutes.
“Fortunately it wasn’t a major issue.”
He said the repair of the elevator would now be conducted by building management.
As well as Wagga Rescue Squad, Turvey Park Fire Station, police, and ambulance attended.
A NSW Ambulance spokesperson said they received the call at 10.05am.
“Three crews were assigned to the scene,” he said.
“It was a lift rescue, but luckily no injuries or no one needing hospital treatment.”
The building, at 193–195 Morgan Street, includes the NSW Roads and Maritime Services and the Murrumbidgee Local Health District.
