Tracy Lee Dowling was charged with manslaughter after 20-year-old Luke Doyle was found dead on March 13, 2012 out the front of her mother’s home on Burrangong Hall Road.
A coronial inquest in 2015 found that Mr Doyle died after taking six Xanax pills and injecting Oxycontin.
A trial date of October 15 was confirmed in Wagga District Court on Tuesday, with Ms Dowling’s defence counsel explaining they were waiting on one outstanding expert report before the trial could proceed.
The court heard that one of the witnesses to Mr Doyle’s had been murdered the following year and would therefore need to be treated as an ‘absent witness’ throughout the trial.
Ms Dowling is currently on bail, which will continue in the lead up to the trial.
