Little Squirt has won two of her last three races after taking out the Ladbrokes 0-1 Wins (400m) for the Forest Hill trainer at Wagga on Thursday.
Utilising box one, Little Squirt railed hard and used the her inside advantage to down Cane Toad Bolto by 2¼ lengths.
Hartley was pleased with her efforts.
“She is going well and is improving all the time,” Hartley said.
“She is more of a distance dog but I gave her a bit of a chance from the one today and she run a very good time.”
She stopped the clock in 23.17 seconds
Bought at a charity auction to help raise funds for Robert Kemp and his battle with brain cancer, Hartley continues to be impressed.
Meanwhile Ben Talbot continued his good run of form.
He scored an early double with Myrniong Marvel scoring his first win since June in the opening race and kennelmate Cruisy’s Patch following suit soon after.
