The Lions will play ANU Griffins in the AFL Canberra women’s division two grand final after a big win over Queanbeyan in the preliminary final at McPherson Oval last Sunday.
After a tight start, the Lions kicked away in the second quarter and were never troubled on their way to a 6.5 (41) to 0.0 (0) victory over the Tigers.
Experienced Lions campaigner Kristin Ireland kicked four goals for the Lions in a commanding display, while Sarah Shaw, Jack Powell, Nicole Keir and Eliza Oates were others to shine in the win.
The Lions will now face an early Sunday morning trip to Canberra for the grand final.
They will take on ANU at 9.30am on Sunday at Football Park.
ANU and the Lions have shared one win each in their two previous encounters this season and both only lost one game for the year.
