Simon Yates and Tully Arnot both have pieces in the Soft Core exhibition and are using the same concept of exploring the definition of ‘softness’ in their classes.
“You see so much learning and growth when kids are working with art and it opens up their mind to the world,” Mr Arnot said. “They pick up an idea and sometimes do it better than who you do it.”
Mr Yates said he decided to get on board with running workshops because it can be a collaborative process.
“It’s a good opportunity to experiment with these ideas and it’s as much of an experiment as making art,” he said.
Wagga can also get involved with ‘Pizza with the Artists’ this Thursday from 5pm to 7pm.
Mr Arnot and Mr Yates will host the evening for those intrigued by what they have been creating with the youth of Wagga.
