Wagga Swim Club quartet Alethea Levy (10), Baylee Edwards (10), Oscar Gianniotis (11) and Chloe Donelan (11) recently qualified for the 2018 NSW under 12s State Short Course championship and will get their shot on the blocks this weekend at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre.
Teenage competitors Annabella Storer, Kade Knight, Brandy Nicholson and Billy Nicholson impressed coach Gennadiy Labara during their time in the pool last weekend and he’s confident all eight swimmers in total will benefit from the experience.
“It’s really good for them to be at this level of competition,” Labara said.
“We had a few swimmers finish in the top ten for their races and we also had a few PBs in there, so I think the kids really enjoyed themselves.
“I’m excited to see how these four swimmers go this weekend.”
