George Chapman, on lead guitar, Tim Wealands on rhythm guitar, Frank Durigo on the drums, Craig Merkel on the double bass and electric bass and Max Staples on keyboard and guitar form Take 5.
Mr Chapman said the band started after they got together four years ago and started to practise at his home.
“After awhile we started to go to fundraising events,” he said.
After playing for various events, Take 5 decided to start up a monthly concert raising funds for Compassion.
“Compassion is an organisation that sponsors kids overseas who live in poverty and help them with education and those sorts of things,” Mr Chapman said.
“I found out about it and I liked the idea of helping children because some are living in dire straits and I wanted to be able to help.”
The band plays mostly rock and roll from the 50s through to the 80s with some of the major hits from stars such as Elvis Presley.
Mr Chapman has been playing with different brands ever since he was a teenager.
“I had to stop for a while after I joined the Air Force, but now all of us enjoy playing together and we are giving something back,” he said.
Mr Chapman encouraged Wagga locals to come on down to Mount Austin Primary School from 1pm on Sunday. They are often joined by 'Deja Vu', the vocalist duo Peggy Barratt and Christine Greentre.
Entry is $5 to go towards Compassion.
