A 30-point thumping of Temora failed to see Cootamundra keep their season alive.
The Bulldogs were big winners at Nixon Park on Sunday, scoring a 38-8 victory, but luck wasn’t on their side.
With Junee downing Young the Diesels finished one point, plus percentage clear, to make a return to finals.

Cootamundra were the biggest movers of the off-season, with the former NRL player attracting plenty back to his hometown club, but they struggled to keep contact with the four after the midway point of the season.
Jason Cronin scored a hat-trick in the win.
The loss condemns Temora to the wooden spoon.
The Dragons scored four wins this season, but finished behind Young on percentage.
