Let’s get serious about drought relief
It is about time the federal and state LNP governments got real with relief packages for farm families and workers who are being laid off because of the drought.

It is about services of packages for families to survive, such as livable support of food, mental and advisory support services.
All the present is doing is pittance relief and they may look into it.
Get ahead and have plans and services on the ground ready to go before it is too late.

Think of our children
Great stuff from Rob Inglis in the Weekend Advertiser “Cultural Wars a blight on Australian politics”. I offer (as a journalist myself) the following in support to reinforce what he said.
Now, until governments of all persuasions (at the helm) get their act together in proper propriety on behalf of their own nation and its people (as the priority), havoc will continue to prevail.
Tax payers’ hard-earned dollars are being handed out (willy-nilly) to other countries supposedly under the auspice guidance of the United Nations, which our country was signed onto without its people’s consent, becoming out death knell.
Every crazy idea this UN complex comes up with, our country is required to run with, like the ‘rights’ of the child act that stripped away the God-given rights of all the parents.
Just this decision alone (fatal in itself) has fostered a nation whose children have fallen through the cracks for want of parental guidance and the stability of the family unit that discipline affords.
The majority of parents who got this right were punished because 3 per cent of parents didn’t.
This is why we have the dysfunctional society we have today with kids running amok, out of control by allowing out previous moral values to be eroded.
Even the Bible says “bring up a child in the way that they should go so that when they are older they won’t depart from it”, which the majority of parents were doing. It also says “share the rod and you spale the child.”
Food for thought.
Even God knows the importance of discipline.
Time to get ‘tough love’ underway before the next generation fall through the already widening cracks.
Law and order must be seen to be allowed to be in action lest we all perish from out own self inflicted stupidity.
Time to get a grip.

Encouraging native wildlife
As it is around the time for National Tree Day, wouldn’t it be a good idea for the Wagga council to plant some advanced eucalyptus trees so that in the future, a section of the Botanic Gardens could be fenced off to have some koalas in there?
Koalas are a great attraction for children as well as adults.
