The Dragons scored the first 10 points on the game before the Thunder put on 40 unanswered at Nixon Park.
In his return from injury, captain-coach Adrian Purtell was pleased with how they responded to the poor start.
“All year the guys have shown great character and to respond like that and go on and win convincingly is a testament to the way the boys have worked hard all year,” Purtell said.
Purtell thought tightening their defence at the ruck help stem the strong opening from Temora.
They lead 18-10 at half-time before running away with the victory.
The win was just their fourth of the season and they have now moved back around the Dragons on percentage.
Young forward Liam Wiscombe continues to impress and had another strong game for the club while Robbie Byatt was a good contributor at five-eighth.
