Howard sustained a hand injury in the Power’s 22-point loss to Greater Western Sydney at Adelaide Oval on Sunday night.
Howard is enjoying a fine season at Port Adelaide and showcased his versatility against the Giants by moving from defence into the ruck in the second half.
Howard, 22, has not missed a game for the Power this season, who have risen to fifth position on the ladder.
His form prompted AFL 360 co-host Mark Robinson to suggest he could be the most underrated player in the competition.
