Wayne Carey, Matthew Richardson, Danny Frawley and Campbell Brown were to appear at the Wagga RSL Club on Thursday night for a Sportsman’s Night in aid of Kidney Kids.
But with only 84 tickets sold, organiser Kerry Flinn has been forced to cancel the event.
“I’m devastated,” Flinn said.
“I really thought we would be knocking people back with that line-up.”
Tickets to the event were $90 each and included a two-course meal. There was also to be lucky door prizes, raffles, cash cow and many auction items
The cancellation has left organisers out of pocket after money was spent on signs and posters promoting the event.
Anyone who had purchased tickets will be refunded.
