The second leg of the SDRA Winter Series is the $30,000 Narrandera Cup (1600m).
Oliver has the top weight, Hunamosa, in the Cup.
Hunamosa gave Oliver the lead in the series after winning at Corowa earlier in the month.
Oliver is on 12 points, ahead of Jarrod Robinson and Leslie Robertson (eight).
Five legs are held throughout a seven-week period in the SDRA with the trainer amassing the most points earning a $2500 prize.
Narrandera is the second leg of the Series, followed by Gundagai (August 5), Wagga (August 12) and Albury (August 21).
Wagga trainers have dominated the first two Winter Series, which is funded by SDRA.
Wayne Carroll's inaugural win in 2016 was followed by Trevor Sutherland's triumph last year.
