A big second half from the Cherrypickers saw them take a 34-10 win over Albury at Alfred Oval on Sunday.
The Thunder were coming off a big win over Tumut, and Young a big loss to Southcity, but they form lines were reversed.
It has been a tough season for the Pickers and captain-coach James Woolford was pleased to pick up another reward.
“We played really well,” Woolford said. “The second half we did what we needed to do, moved the football around a little bit, got to the points we needed to be and everyone played their role.
“It is amazing what can happen when you complete your sets and do the little things right.”
The did so with just two men on the bench for over a half with Will Scott and Bobby Roberts both coming off injured.
Woolford is now out to try to spoil some of their rivals run into the finals.
