Wagga Wagga Swim Club will be well represented at the NSW Country short course championships this weekend after 13 competitors made qualifying times for the state event.

The team of swimmers – all aged between 10 and 18 years of age – will compete at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre against the state’s best under the supervision of WWSC coach Gennadiy Labara.
Labara is excited to see how his young charges fare on the big stage.
“I’m very happy with our preparation and we’re really looking forwards to the weekend,” Labara said.
Labara was pleased to see a number of new swimmers qualifying for the event.
“I think a change in attitude at the club has helped and it’s more professional, more enjoyable and more fun at the moment,” he said.
“I’m sure everyone will give 100 per cent at the championships and it’s good to see a lot of new young swimmers qualifying as well.”
