Keegan has requested a clearance back to Olinda Ferny Creek after six games at Wagga Tigers.
A Melbourne-based footballer, Keegan was Tigers’ biggest recruit heading into the season but the club will not stand in the way of his departure.
“It was pretty straight forward,” Tigers coach Shaun Campbell said.
“He asked us what our thoughts were on releasing him...and I’m not about keeping someone against their will.
“If someone wants to go, I’m all about letting them go.”
Keegan played on a wing for Tigers and showed glimpses of his class.
“It took him a little while to fit in. In a really good side he would be super,” Campbell said.
Olinda Ferny Creek sit on top of the ladder after 10 rounds.
