The club went into recess in January due to a lack of players.
Six months later it remains the big concern for the Greens.
Despite having more than 65 people attend the meeting, players are still a massive problem.
“The numbers aren’t there,” Collins said.
Collins thought there was probably six first grade players in attendance and around 10 in total.
Despite the low numbers, the Greens aren’t giving up.
They have established a retention committee as they continue to explore their options of still having a senior rugby league presence in the town.
“We would have liked to have had more players, but we did accomplish a few little things,” Collins said.
“We have a retention committee for blokes to go around and see who they can get that want to play next year and at what grade.
“Nearly all of them are against Group Nine and still pretty keen for the Murray Cup.”
Travel was a major stumbling point in the Greens plans to join the Albury-based league this season.
Collins also suggested the Tumut pub nines would be a good starting point.
Despite the disappointment of a lack of numbers, he thought there was plenty of positive ideas from the community including a number of fundraising initiatives.
