Jared Mitchell Ingram appeared before Wagga Local Court on Monday for sentencing after he was convicted of driving under the influence of drugs and driving while disqualified.
The court heard Ingram had been working to decrease his drug use and fill the void his addiction once fuelled by bonding with his seven-year-old daughter.
“She’s old enough to be looking at you as a role model and understanding your behaviour, isn’t she?” new Wagga magistrate Christopher Halburd said.
“One-hundred per cent, she knows when daddy’s there and she knows when daddy’s not there,” Ingram responded.
Ingram was given a 12-month good behaviour bond, 80 hours’ community service, and was disqualified from driving for 12 months.
