Collingullie-Glenfield Park will celebrate their 2008 Farrer League premierships on Saturday as they look to bounce back from last week’s loss to Griffith.
Klemke has missed very few games since arriving at Crossroads Oval in 2013 but is out of the Tigers clash with an ankle injury sustained in the opening minute of last week’s loss.
Tim Beckmans is out with another hamstring injury, while Sean Keith is also out with a hamstring and Kal Sykes has chosen to play reserve grade.
Collingullie-GP coach Luke Gestier wants a response from his team after suffering their first loss of the year last week.
“It’s important for us to bounce back. Last week as a group was disappointing in the wash up and we’re a proud group so Saturday can’t come quick enough,” Gestier said.
Gestier said the Demons must improve their skills.
“Our skill level wasn’t up to scratch,” he said.
“There were different times in the game that we didn’t step up when we needed to. There were crucial times, where we didn’t take our opportunities.”
Wagga Tigers will be without Melbourne-based recruit Nick Keegan for the week and the injured Sam Schirmer but welcome back Shaun Driscoll and Louis Beard.
The Demons have a number of ex-players returning from all over the country for the premiership reunion of Collingullie’s 2008 seniors and reserve grade teams.
