Football and netball players across AFL Riverina’s four competitions will don 4000 pairs of white and blue socks on June 16 and 17 as part of the annual fundraiser.
It will come on the back of Neale Daniher’s Big Freeze at the MCG on Monday.
All of the proceeds go to the fight against Motor Neurone Disease (MND).
Chris Daniher thanked AFL Riverina clubs for getting behind a cause that means so much to his family.
“It’s a special time for us and we’ve been lucky enough that it’s coming up four years for Neale and the Big Freeze,” Daniher said.
“We’re trying to play our part here in the Riverina and we thank everyone for their support.”
Joining AFL Riverina and Northern Riverina clubs and umpires this year is Group Nine Referees, Osborne and Berrigan.
Coolamon and Wagga Tigers will host the Bush Freeze again in August as well.
A new initiative this year will see a $200 voucher go to the club in each league that shares the best fun photo with the socks to SockIt To MND Riverina’s Facebook page.
