The Albury outside back has been brought in following the loss of Waratahs wingers Blake Hart and Corey Toole.
Hart is out with a broken toe while Corey Toole has been picked in the ACT schoolboys side.
While a blow to their hopes, coach Richard Skellern believes it is a good opportunity for Toole.
“It is unfortunate for us but great for him and his progression in football,” Skellern said.
Le Cornu is the only new face after a 29-man was named a fortnight ago.
Skellern is yet to name his final side for the clash at Conolly Rugby Complex but expects a much tougher test than the 41-13 victory from last season.
“We need to be very wary of what they are going to be like,” he said.
“They have some very talented footballers so that is something we need to look at carefully.”
Skellern believes they will be looking to bring a tough, hard style which is very different to the usual expansive game adopted by Southern Inland.
The forward is expected to have very little turnover from last season which could help set a strong platform for the back line to operate.
