One person has died following a two-car collision on Gocup Road near Tumut on Sunday morning.

Emergency services rushed to the scene after reports a Toyota Rav 4 carrying two people, and a dual cab ute carrying one, collided near Rocky Gully Road around 8.56am.
RFS district officer Geoff Frowd confirmed one person was found to be dead on arrival, one has been airlifted to Canberra and the third taken by ambulance to Wagga Base Hospital.
The nature of the surviving parties’ injuries are yet unclear.
A crime scene has been established by police, with traffic affected in both directions.
Diversions are in place along the Hume Highway and the Snowy Mountains Highway, and expected to remain so for the next few hours.
This is a notorious section of road between Tumut and Gundagai, described by locals as an accident ‘hot spot’ and ‘an accident waiting to happen’.
In 2012, the NSW state government committed $70 million over five years for its improvement.
A $3 million project began in January to resurface and widen 5.1 kilometres of the road between Yarra and Smarts roads, the same section that claimed the life of 52-year-old Mark Jones in early 2017.
