With Matt Hands unavailable, Foley has moved from his usual fullback role to tackle the Bulldogs at Les Boyd Oval.
Afatasi Collins had played in the six jersey while Hands was out injured, but the Diesels have taken any path this time around.
Foley has played five-eighth for the club before and doesn’t believe his role will change too much.
“It is a bit of a different role but it should be all good,” Foley said. “I played there a few years ago.”
Junee are currently second with five wins and just the solidarity loss to Albury so far this season.
Cootamundra have also improved this season and sit a win further back after falling to Brothers last week.
Foley doesn’t want to change too much considering just how well the Diesels have started the season.
“Other than Matty I think we are pretty at full strength and we’ve trained well so we are confident,” he said.
“I don’t think we have to change to much but I think we have be strong in the middle as they are going to have a good pack.”
Hands is away with schoolboys coaching commitments.
While he was sidelined due to a groin issue earlier in the season the former coach has been impressed with just how well Junee has started.
He believes having Jim Vatubuli come on board, following Dane Nielsen’s sacking, has been a great thing for the club.
“It has been a bit of a blessing in disguise in the end picking Jim up,” Hands said.
He doesn’t expect too much will change due to his absence.
“I’ve only played the two full games so I think they will be laughing,” Hands said.
Joel Kelly moves off the wing and into fullback following the reshuffle with Daniel Halliburton coming into the side.
Cootamundra only scored six points in their loss to Brothers last week, while Junee scored 40 against Gundagai.
Bulldogs coach Glen Buttriss is looking for his team to bounce back.
“We didn’t do ourselves any favours, there were a few errors in that second half,” Buttriss said.
Buttriss said the Bulldogs’ kicking game hadn’t helped them during the match but helped the Brothers build an advantage.
It’s something they are looking to improve on.
He’s also looking to tighten up their play.
“Our effort has been outstanding, we probably just need to keep our structures and the things that we’ll keep working on during the season,” he said.
