It comes as Fire and Rescue NSW members prepare for the annual open day on Saturday, May 19.
Wagga residents have been invited to check out the station on Fernleigh Road for a day of tours, demonstrations and presentations from 10am.
Station officer Jason McDonnell said meeting firefighters, seeing the trucks and equipment up close and having a go with the hose would be the day’s highlights.
In previous years, hundreds of residents and their children have explored the station, donned specialist equipment, knocked over objects with hoses and learned about fire safety at the open day.
“The open day is an opportunity to see what we do,” Mr McDonnell said. “It’s a good platform for us to get our safety tips out too.”
