Reinsman Thomas Gilligan was transported to Wagga Base Hospital for observation after getting caught up in the fall.
Gillian laid prone of the track for minutes while being attended to by paramedics, but was able to walk into the ambulance before being transported away.
Fellow drivers Steven Harris and Mal Diebert walked off the track while Ray Walker was driven off the track by the mobile, but did not require any further treatment.
Debutante Miss Modern Ruby galloped and fell for Harris causing a chain reaction in the first lap of the TAB 3YO Pace (2165m).
Gilligan was driving Wongalea Charli behind and was caught with now where to go as were Our Mach Jack (Walker) and Shadow Chevron (Diebert).
The race was abandoned but all horses appeared relatively unscathed.
Harris enjoyed a double on the night with Msflibbertigibbet and Whereyabinboppin but was unable to steer the latter to an impressive win in the two-year-old after the fall.
Earlier in the night, taking on the older horses didn’t provide Ideal Fantasy with too many headaches.
The three-year-old filly led all the way to bring up her third career win.
All three have come since February and Junee trainer-driver Trevor White was pleased to see her return to form.
“She’s done a good job,” White said. “She’s no superstar but she is pretty handy.”
Ideal Fantasy was brilliant in winning a three-year-old feature at Junee four starts back before being run down in her last two runs.
However this time around she had no problems.
White thought she raced a lot better at Wagga.
“It is pretty hard to lead at Coolamon when she is in against old horses,” he said.
“The 2200 at Coolamon is like 3000 at most places and she pulled a bit hard, but she raced better tonight.”
White is now looking to run in the NSW Breeders Challenge heats on May 29.
While he expects it will be a tough task but believes she deserves a shot against her own age and sex.
“They will be hard but we might as well have a crack at them,” he said.
