Skellern, who is also the representative coach, doesn’t believe it is good to have Waratahs and Leeton dominating teams after the first month of the competition.
“It is a bit of a worry for the zone when there are a couple of teams right out in front and then everyone else,” Skellern said.
Waratahs smallest winning margin has been 51 points while Leeton’s is 31.
In a rematch of last year’s preliminary final it was all one-way traffic at Conolly Rugby Complex on Saturday.
Skellern has had a lot of experience coaching the region and has never experienced a score line like it.
“To be honest I was shellshocked,” he said.
“I didn’t expect a scoreline like that.
“To City’s credit they didn’t say die at kept attacking at us, kept defending and kept doing everything you have to do for 80 minutes.
“It just blew out.”
Corey Toole continued his fine start to the season with three more tries while Sam Bunny scored a hat-trick as well.
The win kick started their 60th anniversary celebrations.
Skellern continues to be impressed with how his team is travelling.
“They are a talented side and know how to play football,” he said.
“They know when to pull the trigger when they need to and really hammer it home.
“That is what they did.”
Austin Wallace and Bunny were both strong in the forward pack while Toole continues to impress out wide.
Waratahs now tackle CSU ahead of the grand final rematch against Leeton while Wagga City face Ag College.
