Due to their track being damaged, Cootamundra’s Carnival Of Cups meeting has a new home for the season with Padrisimo one of the few Riverina hopefuls in the feature race.
Padrisimo has returned to Rod Woodhouse’s stable after a win at Melton in February but faces a quality field first up.
“He is going to need a run and it is a strong field so he’s going to need a lot of luck,” Strong said.
He has drawn barrier nine in the feature race.
Padrisimo returns to the Riverna after stints in Sydney and Melbourne.
