The Riverina League season gets underway on Saturday with four highly-anticipated contests.
Collingullie-GP will enter with only four faces from last year’s squad. They secured the signing of the off-season by welcoming Albury Tigers defender Brigetta Hart on board.
They also welcomed Tameka Scott across from Coolamon, but have lost the likes of Kirsty Lowe to CSU and Lily Wild to The Rock-Yerong Creek.
Norbury is happy with how her new squad has come together.
“We’re coming together really good actually. We’ve had a lot of changes but are looking pretty good,” Norbury said.
“I was sceptical to start with but we’ve had a few trials and it’s really phenomenal the way the girls are playing and that's just in the pre-season, we haven’t even started yet.
“When you have losses it’s always a bit of a worry but it’s fantastic the way the girls are starting to gel. We’ve got some young girls and they’re so enthusiastic.”
While Wagga Tigers defeated Mangoplah-Cookardinia United-Eastlakes in last year’s A grade decider, Norbury expects Turvey Park to be the team to beat in this year’s competition.
Ella Finemore has joined her sister Hannah at Turvey Park, while they have also welcomed Jenee West on board.
“They’re consistent across the board,” Norbury said.
