Ms Boland has been reuniting Wagga residents with their fur babies through social media since for more than 18 months now and the results have been spectacular.
“It’s getting pretty well known now so it’s one of the the first places people look whether they’ve found or lost a pet,” she said.
“It’s a fairly young page but we seem to get a lot of pets reunited with their owners.”
Ms Boland said animals were often overlooked in community online forums and decided to take matters into her own hands with the Wagga Wagga and Surround Pets Lost and Pets Found Facebook page.
“I’m just doing it because obviously I love animals but I always saw missing pet posts getting lost in the buy swap sell pages,” she said.
“Those pages are still awesome but I thought if there was a dedicated lost found page then it could cut out the searching and consequently the heartache.”
