After a 45-29 loss to start the season against Griffith, the Boiled Lollies were downed 34-29 by CSU on Saturday.
Despite a strong second half comeback, coach Scott Callaghan was disappointed his team couldn’t put together a complete performance
“We played well in patches but just couldn’t put it consistently together for 80 minutes,” Callaghan said.
“We are still trying to work out our combinations and set plays, but I was happy with some of the things that occurred out there.”
One positive is the club has picked up bonus points in each of the rounds.
Wagga City have scored four tries in both of their games while the five-point loss to CSU leaves them on three points.
They sit just two points behind Griffith and Tumut but are in seventh place.
However things don’t get any easier with City to tackle Leeton on Saturday.
