In front of a good crowd at Bolton Park, the Bushsows proved too strong for their more experienced rivals.
Riverina Lions couldn’t find enough answers to fall 4.2 (26) to 2.0 (12).
After jumping out to a fast start, CSU led by seven points after the first quarter.
Neither team added to their total in the second stanza before a big third term set up the win for CSU.
They kicked three goals to one in what was a real premiership quarter to take a 25-6 lead.
Despite the Lions kicking an early goal to start the fourth quarter, and only managing one behind themselves, CSU were able to control things.
Captain Gab Goldsworthy was thrilled to come away with the win.
“We are pretty stoked,” Goldsworthy said. “The girls worked super hard all season and they brought it up another level tonight.
“We knew the Lions would come up hard and they challenged us, but we met that challenge.”
CSU got the better of the Lions to start the short season, but Goldsworthy was impressed by how far they have come since the competition started in late February.
The premiership cup was also a perfect birthday present for the 20-year-old.
Meanwhile Griffith Swans finished third after a 8.9 (57) to 2.4 (10) win over Cootamundra Blues.
