Comedian Wil Anderson debuted his highly-anticipated show Wilegal at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival this week, leaving audiences doubled over with tales of his 2017 arrest at Wagga’s airport.

Anderson was travelling from Sydney to Wagga on June 17 last year ahead of a performance at the Civic Theatre.
However, when Anderson’s flight touched down, he was quickly arrested for his allegedly “disruptive” behaviour during the Qantas flight.
Anderson explained during his performance later that night that he was told he had to move from his seat in the emergency exit row because his bad back meant he couldn't move the 40-kilogram escape hatch should an emergency occur.
The award-winning comedian was released without charges, and quickly resolved to turn his experience in the back of a police paddywagon into his next stand-up show.
Audiences quickly took to Twitter after this week’s show to praise Anderson for his performance.
