Father-of-three Craig Smith was pulling out of his workplace to see a client when his ute collided with a blue Commodore sedan on October 23 last year.
The crash took his life.
Ashmont’s Joshua Aaron Byrne, 20, is now charged with manslaughter, causing bodily harm by misconduct in charge of a motor vehicle and a back up charge of aggravated dangerous driving causing death.
Batlow’s Mathew Thomas Cahill, 18, is charged with manslaughter, causing bodily harm by misconduct in charge of a motor vehicle and a back up charge of aggravated dangerous driving causing death.
Cahill is also facing one count of perverting the course of justice.
A spokesperson for the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) on Wednesday confirmed that both indictments had been amended to include the manslaughter charge.
Both Byrne and Cahill will next face court on May 2.
