The 46-year-old Wagga man was arrested in Ashmont on Tuesday and charged with break and enter and armed with intent.
The man first forced his way into a Hammond Avenue business on Friday, stealing a lawn mower and a number of credit cards.
He then made his way to Bunnings on Sunday morning where he was found with a pair of bolt cutters.
Police will allege the man was at the store to commit a break and enter.
The mower has since been recovered and returned to the business.
He was bail refused by police to face Wagga Local Court on Tuesday.
