Robertson is out to make it two premierships with Lake Albert in three seasons when he takes on his old club.
While they’ve lost to the Blues twice in the last month, the 35-year-old is confident the Bulls can turn things around when it counts the most.
“We’ve had a pretty ordinary batting display the last couple of games we’ve played them but on the weekend we’ve certainly picked a lot of confidence up,” Robertson said.
“To get the runs six down gave us a big boost and we can turn it around.
“I don’t mind them beating us twice this year – I’d probably rather be the underdogs knowing we are coming together at the right time of the year.”
Robertson put in a man of the match performance to guide the Bulls to the premiership two seasons and showed ominous form with a crucial 42 in the preliminary final win over Wagga RSL last weekend.
He’s hoping the Blues’ poor grand final record, they’ve lost three of the past four, will have a big impact on the match.
“We don’t have to declare or anything like that so the ball is in their court,” Robertson said. “I thought we chased pretty well on the weekend, but it would be nice to go make some runs to start with and pump them under the pump knowing that they have a couple of trip ups in the last few years.”
