The excursion was part of Goodstart Estella’s community connection lessons, where the children get to learn about the world around them.
But it wasn’t all about the chocolate eggs, with the junior bunnies quick to point out that the “real” Easter Bunny loves to eat carrots – an experience the staff were happy to share with the kids.
Organiser Danielle Lange said the kids loved the trips and made their hats after asking about Easter.
“We’ll teach them about Easter whenever they bring it up as an interest,” she said. “All of the kids made their own hats and they’re also getting to learn about how the supermarket works.”
The Woolworths staff took the kids behind the scenes to see the enormous cool rooms as they munched on their carrots – a sneaky way for the big kids to also teach a lesson about healthy eating.
