Daniel Bruce Boyton, 25, is accused of stabbing a man on May 29 last year.
The Ashmont man was originally charged with wounding a man with the intent to murder and a back up count of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
A fresh charge of perverting the course of justice has now been laid.
Police have now alleged Boyton enlisted someone to discourage the victim from giving evidence at court on July 3 last year.
The case was adjourned for arraignment to April 6 when the case was mentioned in Wagga District Court on Friday.
A trial date has been fixed for November 26.
Boyton remains in custody and did not apply for bail.
