“I started taking photos back in 2004 when I finished up with university but started losing the drive,” he said.
“Then one day in 2014, I found myself tracking a fox and spent more than 45 minutes following him before taking this one photo.
“That moment, that’s what brought back my love for photography.”
The image of that fox sparked a fire that has driven Mr Bett for the past four years.
“Ever since I took that photo, i’ve been compiling all my favourite images and preparation for a gallery.”
The Wagga photographer made his exhibition debut last week in the E3 art space at Wagga Art Gallery and says it’s been a lengthy process compiling a gallery of his own.
“This has been in the works for about two years now,” he said.
“It’s exciting to put this together… wildlife photography is my release.
The exhibition, Semi-wild Australia, runs from 10am-4pm until Sunday, March 11.
