The 21-year-old led from start to finish in the 1.5km run, 16km ride, 200m swim and 3.5km run to win by just over three minutes from Wagga’s Dan Judd.
“I won here two years ago so it’s good to come back,” Rodgers said.
“It’s good for my training.
“There were a lot of juniors competing which is great to see.”
Rodgers used the event to fine tune for the Asia Cup and Oceania championships.
He has recently posted some good results in the Continental Cup.
The Rock’s Briony Mazzocchi was the first woman home in a 52:44.
Officials were delighted with the entries with 185 competitors taking part in individual and team events.
“It ran really well,” organiser George Mackinlay said.
“Entries were up on last year and it was great to see 45 kids in the mini triathlon.”
Albury youngster Finn Nixon turned in one of the performances of the day to finish fifth overall.
