Organiser Janine Menzies said thousands of people stopped by to trawl through the impressive collection of second hand goodies up for grabs.
“It was a beautiful day – we had larger crowds than we’ve had in the past, and we had some absolutely beautiful things for sale,” Ms Menzies said.
“We had this huge collection of second hand books that a lot of our customers enjoyed, we had some valuable china donated, and the usual toys and shoes and handbags were very popular as well.
“We also had a whole marquee full of quality second hand furniture that was purchased by new uni students and a lot of our new refugee families.”
Customers also enjoyed a car wash, barista-made coffee, on-the-spot caricatures, and a performance from the Christian College musicians.
About $30,000 was raised on the day for two Wagga organisations – the WICCET Scripture in Schools program and 101.9 Life FM radio.
