On Wednesday, eight children attended an arts and crafts day at the Ashmont Community Centre, in one of several workshops held over the past two weeks.
Rivmed family support worker Sally-Jo said the children had spent the day hard at work creating pieces of art.
“It’s a real benefit for them all to get together and important for them all to get out of the house for a few hours in the school holidays.”
Ms Jo said she had three sessions in the past week at various Wagga community centres, which were all equally as popular.
Siblings Kaiden and Natalie Landow said they would love to come back again after a fun day spend painting and making plaster animals.
The activities continued on Thursday with a cultural art day.
Sue McMahon, from the NSW Department of Family and Community Services, said the week had been a huge success.
“You couldn’t hear a pin drop (during the activities), they were all just intently listening which was amazing,” she said.
